Tuberville can not and will not block any military promotions.
He is blocking the abortion provisions.
Ha has said that if they separate the issues, he will support the promotions.

THAT IS GROSSLY INACCURATE. There is nothing to separate - no bills in committee - and no mechanism whereby the senate can change a military policy unless a law is passed or as part of the annual national defense appropriation/authorization bills. The abortion issue is about a DOD policy created and passed down through SECDEF. There is no law or legal provision tying the abortion policy to general/flag officer promotions. Doesn't matter what the issue is, to hold serving military hostage to a political-sensitive policy issue is a huge disservice to the military. My understanding is that officers of that rank are basically politicians. Most certainly their promotions and placement are done politically. I’m all for stymying ANYTHING this current administration has influence or control over.

When enlisted realize what it entails per officers duty to uphold and defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
