Here's an early one I didn't know existed 'till recently.

"From: The "Beach Bums" 1966 45rpm single "The Ballad Of The Yellow Beret" / "Florida Time" - on the Are you Kidding Me Records - H-1010. This is Bob Seger with Doug Brown and the Omens. The song is a parody of "The Green Beret" by SSGT. Barry Sadler. Note the "D. Dodger" songwriting credit on this single."

Who wants to go to Fire Lake?
Don Henley & Glenn Frey and Tim Schmidt of the Eagles sang background vocals on that recording.

guess I'm in good company...

been a fan since the start with Segar...bet I wore out a boat load of cassettes with his music on them, driving the roads across America, listening to a lot of them on a 700 mile day.

Liked a lot of Mellonkamps stuff also... Middle America music...

One other 'song' I always enjoyed enough to get a tear once in a while...City of New Orleans...

I love our nation and that is why I love what I call Middle America music...There is a lot of sanity in it.

That is a great live rock ‘n’ roll performance. It must’ve been one hell of a concert to attend.

Saw him as a backup band in Fargo ND I believe before Live Bullet was released.

They performed most of that album set in concert that night, excellent!

They were a band that was even better live than on the record, or 8-track

It would be un-American if you didn't like him.
