I have read that numerous times and have tested the theory...did not work for me and mine, nor for anyone I know.

Tastes good on toast though.

These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

Goldenrods are peaking right now in the areas I spoke of. I’ll have to check some other beekeepers for a late harvest.

I bought honey in northeast Georgia, near Dahlonega, that was sold as being "Sourwood" honey and it definitely had a distinct flavor to it.

One of my friends in NH has 3 different sets of hives, one in an apple orchard, one in a cow pasture where there is a lot of purple clover, and one way back in the woods where there are only wild flowers. They've all been bear proofed with strong chain-link enclosures and they all produce honey that tastes a little different from one another, at least until it has been processed.

East of Dallas is a small local producer -
John Tolbert of Sabine Creek. Most delicious honey I’ve eaten.

He bottles his honey raw and unfiltered. The most healthy way.

He also sells pollen granules. Tremendous for fighting allergies and hayfever.

My brother in law went on a bee pollen diet. He said that it has all of the essential vitamins and minerals that a person needs. I dont know if that's true or not but he lost alot of weight fast and said that he felt better than ever.

I'd like to try a little Mad Honey from Nepal. Reputedly mildly hallucinogenic from the rhododendron flower.

I've got a buddy 2 miles away and another 3 miles away that have hives and provide honey for us.

I love the local honey so I plant a big flower garden for the bees each spring.

Yes, and they don't let people just show up there and harvest it on their own. The natives who live where most of the bees nest are very protective of it.

Bees that make it are gigantic too.

My buddy and I harvested 36 gallons this year out of 9 supers.
We grew the apiary by 3 hives and expect to get 50 gallons next season.

I quick tablespoon (plastic) of honey a day and most allergies are kept at bay.

Ours this year was real dark!

I do have a couple hives in the palmettoes and I am told that honey will be almost gin clear............we shall see.
