What kind of horseshoes you all use for your horses?? Anvil? Mustad? Diamond? Kahn Forge? Please discuss.
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

St Croix for my mules, but I just boughta pair of Cavallo boots to try. Getting too old to tack on shoes.

It's been many years for me now, but I requested a special type modified shoe for my horse when I was packing and guiding. The boss had some St. Croix shoes made with welded clumps on them for traction. Looked like iron pyrite, might have been borium. I called em tiger paws. They were the bees knees in mud, snow and ice! My horse, "Divide" loved em!

My horse, "Divide" loved em! Amish farrier we used to go to had those, Amish used them like snow tires on their drivers in the winter. I never used them. IIRC, they were just clumps of bronze brazing rod brazed on with oxy-acetylene in three spots, tie and each end. Last several years I had horses I quit using shoes, just kept them trimmed. They didn’t see much, if any, road time and it just worked out better.

My horse, "Divide" loved em! Sounds like “Drilltec”. It’s a coarse-grained carbide largely used as hard facing on drill bits. Some like it because it can be applied in a forge, and a torch isn’t needed like Stoody borium. For shoes, I really like St Croix rim shoes. They are fullered heel to heel providing traction for trail riding.

Helped my Dad hammer out and nail on several tons of Diamond shoes. Last guy I had do any shoeing used St. Croix. I couldn't tell any difference in the Diamond and the St. Croix except the name.
Watched the last guy do everything from toe clips, to squared toes to borium tips! Dude was good!

Welded big calks on the heels and toes and then topped the calks off with a hardener layer, all forge work.

That's all well and good as long as the hoof is "square" to the ground

I don't have a horse. They don't come in my size.
