Update on the LH XPR. Got to the range last week with the XPR 350. With the handloads that all my other 350s like, that thing is a true tack driver. It was stacking bullets at 100 yds with no problems at all.
Was able to adjust the trigger to 2# 10 oz. and it breaks very nice. However, it didn't adjust like the manual says. If the screw is backed out too far, the sear will not stay set. The manual says it can be backed out all the way to falling out, and then the trigger is at it's lightest. Not true. So, I went 1/4 turn at a time, checking it, and it worked fine. Did a bump test and safety test after to make sure all was good.
Magazines are great. Simple plastic stack magazines. What Ruger should have done, instead of using the damn AR 350 mags.
My magnetospeed was showing about 100 fps less in the XPR than in my 22" Savage. That could be because of the size of the ports in the brake. They are quite small in the Savage, and larger in the XPR. Or, it is just a slower barrel than that one for whatever reason.
Only thing I can really say I'm not too fond of is the barrel/action coating. They use FDE by Perma-Cote. It is ok, but doesn't really compliment the stock camo like another color would. And it looks like flat rattle can paint. I'm fixing that in the off season, and having it Cerakoted in midnight bronze. That is the same color Franchi uses on the Momentum Elite with the same camo pattern stock. Looks sweet.
