As indicated, if you hit that switch, you will not be subjected to comments from people who you don't want to read what they say. Click on their profile and proceed to succeed. It's quick and painless and provides years of relief. Like the Compost Tumbler, it changed my life. I chose geedubya as obviously no one is going to ignore geedubya.

You can toggle the ignore switch but that's like taking off the baking mitt to touch the hot pan, you know it's a bad idea so why do it?

So folks spend time on an open public forum to ignore people.

That's a little strange to me.

How do you make it to where you can't see a post from someone on ignore? I mean a post they initiate. It still shows up, just blocks what they say. Latest is 79. What a waste of oxygen he is.

I wouldn't ignore Geedubya.

I do however use ignore for folks who I don't want to deal with in the classifieds so I don't have to remember who's who.

I like dogs. It doesn't bother me to hear a dog bark once in a while. Sometimes a dog's bark is purpose driven and has value. When my neighbor's dog barks non-stop, every time it is outside, for no reason whatsoever, I turn music on to drown it out.

I guess I can see that. Easy button for who not to deal with on a classified deal .

I have no one on ignore. Where would this forum be without deflave, Big Stick and 79. I will even read some of the crap our leftist anarchists post. Some days they put up a big stink but they are anchor babies for the campfire. Especially when their diaper is full.

Know what else?

If I know a person on a thread is ignoring another person on the thread, I'm liable to quote the ignored one so the ingnorer can see the post anyway.

GFY,

I'm so nice, just slightly less so than Dwayne most days, that No One would dare ignore me, a Smartest Man on the Campfire, Emeritus.

Well, that Conrad fella might, but he's kinda grumpy livin' way up there almost in Canada.

I have no one on it ignore it this time. when I was first a member I did use it a little but then I got to thinking about the age old saying keep your friends close and your enemies closer. kind of mean and sometimes you can learn something from your enemies something of value even if you disagree.

sometimes people get put on ignore by accident I think an example.
sometime back there was an item in the classifieds I wish to purchase and I realize this person had me on ignore. so I found the different way about it and ask him if I'd done something or what.

he replied back to me he went through many of my post and seen no reason why he would have had me on ignore it must have been some sort of a finger fumble accident. we made the deal everything went smooth.

Sometimes I just have to wonder why they nag so much.

Only ones I have on ignore are from the classified ads. Offer me something on my wtb ad then another gets on my ad and takes the item, chicken schitt move in both parties. Even happened on one item I had agreed to buy.

Otherwise scroll by if I don't like what you have to say.
