Nice job Joel! Way to get it done.
Would you rather eat moose or deer?

Well done Joel!
The only thing harder than packing a moose for days is babysitting a boat in that country that time of the year. Doing both is impressive.. Worrying about boats isn't fun. it's not like they are cheap. I put a 44lb bruce on them for fall/winter but I still stress about it.

Would you rather eat moose or deer? We ate moose burgers last night. Pretty dang good. We are still going to kill deer this year, but I think the nod might go to the moose. We made up a bunch of grind, steaks, and roasts.

Moose Cheese Burgers RULE!
If I was on death row and was asked what I wanted for my last meal, it would be a Moose Cheese Burger, with Onion Rings and an extra Large Chocolate Milk Shake.
Hopefully, they would not be able to source any moose meat, which would postpone the sentence hehehe!

Would you rather eat moose or deer? Moose - it's not even a contest. Moose fat is sweet and succulent - deer fat is just nasty.

I don't eat fat, so my nod goes to Kodiak blacktail. I need to kill me some, some year. "Friends" are awful chinzy with theirs.....

Have had literal tons of different AK wild meats and believe any species can kick out a winner. After many blind taste tests I feel comfortable saying few have even the foggiest clue when tasting meat.
II would take a good deer over a good moose or caribou. I know many that claimed sheep was number 1, but in blind taste tests they put sheep at the bottom repeatedly. and their first worst caribou they put at #1.
Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.

You would think those 6 year old 3/4’s would have tasted better. Maybe the data is flawed due to improper cooking of meat used in said test. Flawed data no doubt

Perfect sized moose. The meat is always better than some of these bigger ones. More cuts in the frying pan, than in the canner or Dutch oven for 8 hours.

These SE Moose are different from the up north moose. Pretty much no fat on them. And no flavor. It's odd because it doesn't taste like game and it's basically a flavorless meat. It must be the diet they have on the islands they have recently inhabited.
So far, it's a tough, chewy bull. Thankfully we went heavy on the grind when we processed it.

Pards, Enjoy it while you can. Alaska fish and game will ph uck it up so bad you won’t be hunting moose on those islands in a couple years.
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.
