I think the irony of John lecturing Montanans of riding the Senate of Tester , while his neighbor is giving real support, is lost on John..... I must admit I am not surprised I would bet money John did support Lizzy in the past... being a wizard and all gives him great insight.... hahahhahahahaha

As an aside= there is/was a F&G Protection Offier ( game warden) here locally that I consider bad-ass.. He and his wife were tent camping back in when a pizzed off mama griz jumped their tent in the night (bear and cubs having previously been fiugged with by humans)
Injured, officer sent his wife out for hep but then, not able to withstand the pain, hiked some miles out behind her. Quite a few miles-don't recall exactly.
Earned the nick name "Bearclaw", or some such.
My fav stories about him, however is when he was fishing a Kenai River hole below his place one night, when a couple drunks moved in on him and 'forced' him out of his spot.
He went up to his house on the bluff above, put on his uniform, and observed the obnoxious characters for a while, then arrested them for littering for tossing beer cans back in the brush. A friend of mine was al LEO there at that time and he hiked in and retrieved his scalp and put it in saline......I guess it was reinstalled. You are correct, Vern. Brother was in PCH when he was brought in. There was quite the group of people there taking part in bringing Al in. His room being next to my brothers allowed me to have a couple of chats about the job, his health etc. but we never talked bears. Las, Yes, Al was tough enough. He was a short stature fella, but could command respect with a glance. BTW, you were on the right track with his "bear..." nickname. The one I remember was used (perhaps conjured by those who ran afoul of his badge) still made Al smile. His co worker (same stature) Clark G. Was tough as well. Ah, for the old days... Respect!

Isn't Oregon kinda like Montana, but with an ocean or something? Leonard..... this is non pard talk.......  Sorry Pard... I have lost a sense of what Montana is since "Yellowstone" got cancelled. Give me a f---ing break, that stupid [bleep] show (Yellowstone) was nothing close to what Montana is like. It's so much BS, I watched part of one episode and couldn't stand the show. Yes, I'm from SW Montana.

But your posting does bring to mind an encounter I had with a "strange" Monatanan back when I was the poh'lice in a large west coast first class city (back then - no longer!).
My partner and I were walking the grave yard shift beat on "Skid Row" when in the darkness we see a vehicle in an alley behind a cheap hotel. The lights were out and the car not running but intermittently the brake lights would go on and off. We approached in the darkness and see that this vehicle is a Cadillac with personalized Montana plates "KNIEVEL"!
We see movement in the front seat and go there and light-up the interior from both sides of the car with our Streamlights! What do we observe but a white man behind the wheel with his pants down to his ankles and he is being orally copulated by a well known mulatto street whore/pickpocket! In fact with one hand the whore/pickpocket is aiding the oral copulation and with the other she is rifling the white mans billfold near the floor of the car!
We called her "Snakeskin" and had for years.
We roust the white man and Snakeskin and retrieve some of the white mans credit cards and monies from Snakeskins upper undergarments. Much to the surprise of the white man I might add.
As it was a bunch of misdemeanors involved and our shift was due to end and the publicity might adversely the white mans "persona" we decided to use our discretion and issue "oral warnings" to the miscreants and send them off in different directions.
Bad ass - maybe? Weirdo - fo'sho!
