Glider born infantryman did not receive jump pay in WW2!  I guess the Army figured you were plenty safe riding a freaking wood and canvas glider crash landing God knows where as opposed to gently floating to earth under a chute!  IIRC, glider pilots were in most cases supposed to fight as infantry, though in some cases they were evacked to fly in another glider full of troops & equipment the next day! Reon
