Then they all ran down the meadow to me. And I got a gap in the herd and got this 5x5 at about 200 yds with old Husqvarna ( one We rechambered to 93.x62) 270 grain Speer Hot core and I canโ€™t remember the load of IMR 4064. Boom flopped this boy!
Congrats to you and your son, Bob!

Congrats there Bob! Nice elk with a classic rifle...Pics make it look like it was a nice day to be out on top of it.

Anyway! Got it done.
Iโ€™ll bet that bull couldnโ€™t tell the difference between 4064 and 4350! Great job!

Iโ€™m deer hunting next week with my 9.3 Lite, aka .35 Whelen. Got to drag it out of the safe with a new scope.

What a day! You fellows will have allot of memories from that hunt and allot of excellent meat for the table. Congratulations to you both and hats off for the fine shooting.

Congrats Kaywoodie.

I got an invite from my neighbor to join their group to hunt that area. The first time I've been up there since the big fire. We saw more elk in 2.5 days than I've seen in all of my other elk hunts combined. Unfortunately,, they were all on private . Having no trees to hide in sure makes them visible from miles away.

Laws aren't preventative measures. In other words, more laws won't prevent gun crime from happening.
