The tazed guy walking his soon-to-be-deceased dog bangs on the trunk of a car, gets punched for his trouble and then tazed by a Cop for walking away? Whereupon the dog is shot for doing what a good dog would. Balcones Heights is a ‘burb’ now entirely within San Antonio, has its own Police Department. Burying the guy’s dog for him sure sounds like an admission of guilt. I would guess the punched/tazed/bereaved/arrested guy is being contacted by attorneys even as we speak.

Protect and Serve who? It sounds like the officer never attempted to de-escalate the situation but took sides and committed an offence. I'd want to hear both sides of the argument but unless I'm mistaken it's not against the law to walk your dog.

Not nearly enough to go on in that story for me to condemn anyone. I don't recommend knocking on the trunk of a driver's car, but I do ask myself why the dog walker chose that car and why that car was close enough to a pedestrian for that to happen.

Walking his dog in InterState 10 ? The photos show they obviously were not on interstate 10. Probably just more poor journalism making details misleading. Maybe they were walking around the 6900 block in the vicinity of interstate 10, like where it passes over or sumtin of the like.

Investigators say the dog became aggressive when the officer tased the man. As the officer reloaded his taser to allegedly stun the man again, the dog seemed to retreat, but it then lunged toward him.
Police say the officer hit the dog to get it away from his body before shooting the dog twice and killing him.
Best way to handle a dog attacking you…

What little interaction I have had with some of the small separate PDs within San Antonio tends to make me think they are staffed by people that could not make the cut for SAPD.

We need more information, like the breed of dog and racial makeup of participants.
