Got it done last night. He came in chasing two does, and I shot him at 15 yards, taking out the top of his heart. He ran 30 yards and stood shaking. A second round from the .257 Roberts dropped him where he stood.
The does ran to the far end of the wheat field, where one jumped the fence and kept going while the other stood and looked back. One shot from the Roberts put her down at 180 yards.
While dressing them out I recovered one of the bullets in the buck. The PowerPoint did well. The doe weighed 83 pounds dressed, and the buck weighed 137.
