Just got home from the VA hospital, where I've been since driving myself there on the 13th. So haven't weighed myself since then.
Had multiple strokes. While they were doing tests to find out why, they discovered a number of other serious issues. Feel almost normal now, though they have me on a heart monitor. Anxious to get back to work; have no restrictions. Nevertheless glad to be home.
Can't praise highly enough the health care professionals who helped me. A glaring exception would be the people in dietary, who simply just don't care, or much worse.

Heal well, & fast ! Thanks. Today I worked and also was bombarded with phone calls from VA personnel making appointments. Looks like they're taking this pretty seriously and plan on operating soon. It is comforting to have so many good people watching your back.

Congrats pal, sounds like you've got it figured out. Might be a good idea to check with you Drs to see if continuing to cut weight is a good idea right before surgery though. Hope everything turns out right for you.

That makes it 40 lbs lost in under 3 months. Truthfully... It sounds like you have a cancer. How old are you? Weight loss doesn't have to be from cancer, especially when he has been low carb and IM fasting, both of which would be helpful if cancer were present. The worst thing you could do if you had cancer would be to eat sugar, or any high glycemic foods. That said, best wishes to you Pal. You do need to make sure you have a healthy diet that will help you heal any health issues as much as possible.
