That was great but ... something is just off with Musk, not sure what it is but I don't think he is for the people like he makes it appear. Guess time will tell.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
To preserve liberty it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them.-Richard Henry Lee

Zero status for me...I am too old....btt I love Musk spending $40B on freedom of speech.
Musk did not spend $40B on freedom of speech. Musk spent 40B to control the speech. Musk is more than happy to ban people who say things he does not like. Thats not freedom of speech.
I’ve been floating the idea of signing up for starlink. This is pushing me more in that direction
Elon has said that he intends to spin off Starlink with a IPO.
I’ll be watching that and his Neurolink (sp?) closely. Neurolink has gained FDA approval for human trials.
Starlink, neurolink, self driving cars and a dash of AI. Tell me that doesn't sound like a bad Stephen King movie from the late 80's. Its Maximum Overdrive taken to the next level. What gets me is that all the conspiracy theorists worrying about black helicopters and the government watching their every move are not even bothered by this. I guess because its the private sector doing it, its ok?

Who has he banned, and why ?
He has a tendency to ban anyone who criticizes him.
There's a LOT of criticism of Musk on twitter. He may have banned a few, but it ain't many. The one that sticks in my mind is the kid that tracked his private plane. Other than that I can't recall many.
Also his posts get community checked regularly. If he were that thin skinned I doubt he'd let that happen.
He has banned journalists for criticizing him, people for parodying him, impersonating him and making fun of him, and he has banned a half a dozen people for tracking his plane which is public knowledge. If you ban people for those things then its not freedom of speech.
Someone comes into your business and disrupts it by calling you names and threatening your family and you can't refuse to offer them service? That kinda free speech?

That kind of free speech????????? Think about that statement for a minute. Is limited free speech really free speech? How is criticizing and making fun of Musk disrupting twitter? No one is against banning people making threats against anyone's family, not just Musk's. The irony of you saying that is that Musk makes the occasional tweet that ruins people's lives and causes them to get death threats so Musk is ok with others being threatened but he is off limits. Musk doesn't have a God complex, he has an Allah complex. Death to anyone who criticizes him, makes fun of him, or impersonates him.
The whole concept of constitutional free speech is a limitation on government power. Private individuals / companies have no constitutional obligation to facilitate their opponent’s views.
Go to DU and make a post supporting your right to self defense, see what happens.
You come in my house and mouth off, you’ll get tossed out on your arse, too.
