I’m new to the forum, but have been reading for awhile. Seems like a good group. I’ve got a 99 eg and need a carrier spindle head screw. I’ve purchased 2 off the interweb, but both are .135. I need the smaller one. Old one measures at .118. Anybody got one laying around….will be happy to pay. Assuming the answer is no, is it easier to modify the larger screw to the gun or the gun to the screw.

Also, does anybody have a Stith mount with scope that will fit this rifle, or a lightfoot mount, they would be willing to part with? I’m setting this rebuild up with fiber and a peep because I don’t want to drill, but my ailing eyes could use the scope. Planning to hunt black bears in Alaska.

Greetings, I can help you out. Since it's a M1917 it's the Type 2 notched firing pin. By trigger bar, I assume you are meaning the the trigger lock bar 1G39.

No luck with anyone having a carrier spindle screw that’s .118? If not, I’ve got the old screw. I had to drill and use an ez-out, but I think it’s repairable. I assume to repair properly, it’ll take a TIG welder which I don’t have. Does anyone know a competent individual that does screw repair?

You guys are pretty tight with your parts, else I’ve offended or nobody is looking at this thread. If anyone does happen upon this thread, let me know.

This is the first time I have looked at this thread in at least a year. Or more. I never check it. I don't think it gets much traffic. I'd start a new post in the general forum.

I read it. Can't help you. I can't speak for the others, but I'm not mad at anyone.

Thanks for the advice 99guy. I’m not sure I know how to start a new thread, but will try to figure it out and post original message.

Have a 1979 Savage 99cd Series A.
Need a new 0.975” forend screw as well as the dovetail barrel stud that screw mates to.
Mine work, sort of, but threads are dinged up, screw is bent and afraid it’s a matter of time before it gets far worse.

I'm new to this site. Was pleased to see several posts on the Savage Pocket Pistol. I am unable to find the sear spring guide for a 1917 380. Product #: 151390 on Numrich. When I first got the gun about 8 years ago, it was firing full auto. I've worked on it on and off over the years. That's how I lost that guide pin. I'm thinking if I can't find one, I could fabricate this tiny pin from something of similar size. Anyone have an idea what might work?

full auto is cool. I had a National Match 1911 go full auto on me once. It climbed rapidly. fortunately it ran out of bullets before it put one through the range roof.

I would keep that little tidbit of information to yourself until you get it fixed.

Tried to private message but said you were over limit. I have the parts to fix that and can likely help solve that issue.
