In Pet Loads, Waters states that 270 Husqvarna rifle barrels have a rate of twist of 1 in 9.5
Can anyone confirm this? Any reel difference with the slightly tighter twist for heavier bullets? I know that 1 in 8 is the new go to for heavy 270 bullets.

You can always give it a try with the heavier bullets to seee if they will stabilize. I’ve played around with heavier for calibers in a 1:10 twist .270 WSM, but they did not stabilize for me. There are several YouTube videos where people have gotten them to stabilize in .270 Win and 270 WSM.

According to the list in the Speer Load manual #9, Husqvarna uses a 1 in 9.5" twist. They also show a1in 12" twist for the 30-06 in Husqvarna rifles. PJ
