I don't how we as a society got to this point...but in my father's day and certainly my grandfather's day...entertainment people were scarcely regarded as anything much higher on the social scale than prostitutes, con men, and card sharps. How did we now arrive at a point where the majority of people actually revere and admire these dysfunctional idiots. Most actors frequently tell us how the world should be ran...when in fact they can't run their own lives with any semblance of class, dignity or intelligence.

You're right. Historically, minstrels were allowed to put on their show, paid their fee, and then told to get the hell out of town. You kept a tight watch on your coin pouch and your daughters whenever the gypsy bastards were around.

Every four years when a presidential election is looming, we have to listen to a bunch of Hollywood azz wipes telling us that they will leave the country if "fill in the blank" gets elected.
