Picked up this LH T/C New Englander.

My plan is to get a deer with it but most of the time it will be hanging up above the fireplace.

Nice! Don’t see the lh version very often. I have one in .54 cal with an extra 12ga smooth bore barrel. Haven’t shot it in a few years but it’s a deer thumper with T/C maxi-hunter slugs.

Im playing around with diff loads, was hoping it would like triple 7 loose but it did not. And no 11 caps are sure hard to find at a reasonable price

Very cool. Any deer shot with that should be considered a trophy. Think about how cool it would be to have a nice 8 point buck mounted next to that hanging over the fireplace.

Using 90 gr pyrodex rs and a 385gr conical I was able to shoot a 6 shot 4” group at 60yds. Trigger is pretty heavy and im sure not use to iron sights. Think I can take a deer at 50 and under.
