Everyone I know with a 5-8 year old gm/Chevy truck/suburban/yukon has had to put a new transmission in it. THIS is why I went to Toyota/Lexus in 2000... everyone puts granny's in them at 80-100k no matter the paint schedule or towing. GM is a pos that I will never buy again.

Not so fast, I have a GMC 2500 with 313,000 mi. on it and never had a problem I dot change the fluid every 50K with a filter and it is an Allison too.

the 2014 silvarado was a truck with widespread transmission problems. i think it took a couples of years, but the problem was supposedly fixed later.
My replacement transmission is supposed to be a "fixed" version and actually an upgrade of what was in it.
