The story of how the world got the Bible begins with a single extraordinary event ~ an event that was SO extraordinary that it was worth writing about. The backstory of how we got the Bible gives us important context for the stories that are in it. The old testament is the history of the people of Israel. But broader than that, it’s the story of God preparing the world for a Savior. The Bible did NOT create Christianity. That means that peace with God is possible even if you don’t have peace with everything that’s in the Bible.

Those who formed a "Christian" religion which discounted the teachings of the Apostle Paul eventually got very involved with the occult,....no big surprise.

Swedenborg’s teachings became popular with the enthusiasts of the Occult Revival in the 19th century.
