My Magnetospeed will not read velocities from my revolvers, shooting lead bullets, at all. A shame, considering that I work up loads for them frequently. I have to resort to my Chrony to get velocities.

I have a MagneetonSpeed Sporter and the new Garmin. The MS was a pain in the ass at times. Depending on barrel finish about every 2-3 shots you had to retighten to the barrel. I also made a mount like Mule Deer’s, move the barrel just a hair and it would miss the shot.
I bought the Garmin so I could shoot my bow and pistols as well. It will also be nice to not load develop and then have to reshoot due to POI change.

Had a magnetospeed v3 for a couple years and finally bought a Labradar last year. If I could go back in time, I would have bought the Labradar from the beginning.

I bought a Magnospeed sporter and it works good enough for my purposes. All I use a chronograph for is to check new loads for my rifles.

I only used mine a couple of times with the pic rail adapter. It was easy as pie. Sold it here and bought a Garmin, which is more convenient, but at a price.

I’m at that stage in life where I just but what I want because tomorrow ain’t a certainty…..

I have used Magneto Speed since they emerged. It works perfectly 98% of the time. I have always used it mounted remotely. Have not/will not mount it to the barrel.

I have moved on to the Garmin unit. Much less alignment vexation.

All of the above. At age 60+, you just git what you want. Need is no consideration.
