Dogs have saved many lives.

An understatement. I’ve had dogs my entire life. Hunting over them, worked narc,explosive and attack/sentry dogs in the military, and just pets which are the best. Added up my time without a dog and it was a total of three month in my 52 years. Boot camp. I’ve done a lot of research on the history and the evolution of dogs,reading books and scientific research papers, listening to all sorts of information about it. To say the least in my eyes dogs are very special animals if not miracles. We owe them a lot and given what I’ve read we owe our very comfortable lives to them. The timeline of domestication is arguable between 12-30 thousand years ago. They were the first domesticated anything and “self domesticated”. Some doubt that they self domesticated but considering that they were the first thing domesticated by humans should speak volumes. They were a wolf when they were domesticated and on your first go at domestication you don’t swing for the fences with an alpha predator without cooperation. Also due to the hunting partnership it’s believed that humans were able to evolve faster due to the increased quality of diet and higher level of protein available from this. And some people want to ban hunting with dogs. If it wasn’t for hunting we wouldn’t have dogs and if it wasn’t for hunting with dogs we wouldn’t be so comfortable to bitch about hunting with dogs.
