I would bet on the opposite. They really bulked up towards the end of McMillan ownership. I had edge stocks that were coming in at 27 - 28 ounces that had been 23 - 24 ounces less than a decade prior.

Same here. You’d have thought if anything they’d get lighter with better epoxies and materials.

Ok then, thanks for clearing that up.

I had read on here that McM stocks were getting heavier even with Edge fill. So I ordered an Edge knowing it would come in close to what a standard fill used to come in at and fortunately I was right.

I have looked at and even called to order(the person I needed to speak with was out) the Alamo precision stock made by AG. It looks a lot like the Macmillan/Sako hunter. Beaver10 speaks highly of them. The last couple of times I have ended up going with something else but that stock is for sure worth looking at if nothing else.
