Seems that charging stations in Chicago are packed with dead and dying Teslas that can't charge in the cold. Is this any surprise? Tesla batteries have to be above a certain temperature to charge and Chicago is below it. DEAD TESLAS

Only a fool would buy an EV living up North without having a gas vehicle for times like this. Hell even in the south you would be a fool, hurricanes can cause power outages for weeks.

I saw a bunch of Teslas lined up at charging stations last October in Murdo, SD. 25 degres and an ice storm! 1/2-3/4" of ice on everything! I hit the remote start had a nice breakfast, and came out to thawed and warm truck and hit the road!
No EV for me.

A fool would buy an EV. Simply put... Doesn't matter where you live. Even where I live (northern Nevada), they don't cut the mustard. Too far between charging stations, and contrary to some belief, it does get cold here.

I have nothing against the concept of electric-hybrid or full-electric vehicles per se, but I wish the sustainability piece and life cycles analyses were honestly reported when compared to ICE vehicles. It would show that the ICE is not the devil they claim it to be and that EV tech is not ready for prime time in every application in every geography.
It is criminal the way EV technology is characterized by woke science and the media (not to mention politicians). It shows you how driven by ideology (and not proven science) these groups are.
That being said, how could someone with the most basic level of education or common sense not know there are going to be limitations to battery-powered cars in cold climates. Haven’t they noticed their cell batteries in cold weather?? And how is it possible that Tesla would sell a car without having tested this and be compelled to disclose that to buyers??

Other than I- 10 and I-40 way down south...you don't get in and out of California without going over serious mountains in the winter. I'm really sad I'll be dead by the time the Newsom's 2036 ban on diesel trucks kicks in...but on a cheerful note...he may be dead by then too. Hilarious.
