I use it in my 308’s for that very reason. Varget was more accurate, but made the case too full. TAC is a great alternate.

I use it exclusively in my 6.5 Grendel. From a 20" barrel I get 2600 FPS with 100g NBT and excellent accuracy.

i loaded up some more max loads for my 6 BR just waiting for it warm up a little and no wind so i have a honest group size then with the Tac powder . its been below zero last few days and if i heat up the shooting house i get too much mirage when i open up the window in scope.

i own 3 6BR rifles a custom Bat action /Brux barrel , Savage single shot FTR ,and my favorite a custom Ruger #1 that shoots very well and is just more fun to load and pull the trigger so the Ruger #1 is the rifle i am trying the Tac powder in for now ,but this Ruger #1 has a slow twist so 70 gr. bullets work the best . next i will try the Bat action custom rifle that has a 8 twist and so does the Savage i believe. if you don`t have a small cartridge rifle like the 6 BR your kinda mis`n the fun of very little recoil with a cartridge that shoots well even out too 1,000 yards so easy and that`s why i hope Tac powder has good accuracy.

Reloader 28.....yes a 308. My 308’s love the 130 TTSX. But, I sold my soul to the 155 Scenar.

I don't have a 6BR, but I use TAC with 150 grain bullets in my .308 and it works great for that application.

Works great with heavies in the .223, as well. I use it in practical rifle competition.

It works with just about any .223 application. I've gotten slightly smaller groups with other powders (such as Varget) with heavier bullets, but only when weighing charges. TAC meters far better--often more important when making lots of ammo.
Have mentioned before that TAC originated as a military powder for the 5.56 and 7.62 NATO rounds, both to burn cleanly and be temp-resistant. Since first trying it around 2001, have found it works great in those and of course the .223 and .308--but also in other cartridges with the same approximate bore/capacity ratio, from the .17 Fireball to .35 Whelen.
