The politics there don't affect daily life a lot - the same as politics here. Canada has nice people, fabulous scenery, incredible fishing, and great food. Wife and I plan to go back in the near future. Only foreign country I'd consider going to, our Canadian friends are good to go they just have more crazies than we do.........

Thanks Dwayne for that historical footnote, Learn something new every day. Never knew about the whiskey merchants and the NWMP .
Our reprieve from the cold started 2 - 3 weeks ago. Hardly been having some freezing at night. Dang spring bulbs are already sending up some shoots. Lawns and fields are green even. Probably get a hard frost in 2 weeks that will knock everything back or dead even.
Hoping the few small fruit trees I have don't try to bud/bloom anytime soon. This keeps up I'll be seeing the cranes back before March.
Enjoy your late afternoon and evening up there.

[bleep] Canada. They just had to put their plan to start killing the mentally ill on hold, only because no doctors signed up to do the dirty work. Geez.

I don't recall, ever, seeing an apology for that accusation.
That was BULLSHIT.

Nothing wrong with killing the mentally ill! Just so long as they have been convicted of a Capitol Offense first.

Canada varies alot, much like the US of A. I think the distinction is between the East and West...just like the the U.S. The West doesn't include the Pacific coastal area mentality. The difference between Montana and Alberta is negligable, and Tucker doesn't mind Western Canadian values. Don't group all Canadian's together, as we are all not struck by the same hammer. Welcome to Western Canada, folks.

My experience with southern Canadians is that they are a bunch of know it all, talk through their ass, dumbf*ck, mouth breathers that have ZERO clue what is going on in the world. They watch their propaganda news and talk schidt. Watch their propaganda news and talk schidt. Over and over and over again. They are blatantly stupid people. Sorry Capt. Australia native but it's the truth.

Gee , guys, I have thought of buying land up in NW Ont. This way I can hunt bears and calf moose without a guide. Only bene there 4 times , but never had a problem. Now days , I dont think I want to risk buying land in a country that might tell me I cant enter till I get a shot . .. Still like it there. I haven't looked in a while, but I believe you still need a guide to hunt big game in Ontario even if you own property. You'll need to be a citizen or permanent resident to hunt big game on your own.

Wife and I plan to go back in the near future. All of that, plus every time I have been there the people seemed welcoming and glad that I came to visit. This attitude is very different than that here in our own country, if the 'fire is any indication.
