Longtime Guy Ritchie fan here!
Only bad thing he ever did was marry Madonna. And he didn’t make a movie about that.

KFWA;
Good afternoon sir, I hope the last day of the first month finds you well thus far.

Thanks for the trailer link, somehow I'd forgotten they were going to make a movie about this.

A few years back Ian McCollum on Forgotten Weapons did a book review, which was so enthusiastic that I bought a copy.

If you or anyone out there enjoys very well written WWII history, I heartily recommend it.

Hopefully the movie stays reasonably close to the book, which again was incredible in my opinion.

All the best.

Dwayne

Oh look another (((Holyweird))) turducken about killing knot seas, and I like most of Guy's film...but this seems to be leaning into tarintitos angle.

You know, they threw in a token negro...

Well, at least having a black guy as a crewman on a sailing vessel in the late 1930s early 40s makes sense. It’s not like they’re inserting them into Georgian England as they have done in other shows.

Am I correct in thinking that the movies is based on the capture of an enigma code machine from a Kraught sub?
I know they had one called (I think) U-571 years ago. An American film, so they made the sub that captured enigma an American boat.
But it was a British sub that did it. Hell it Might have been even before Pearl Harbor!😀
I don’t remember for sure.
