Mr Oreogummy Im proud of my heritage I can do a break down of evry Virginia regiment and evry battle my folks wuz in from bull run to Appomattox. Plz list ur families contributions if you would oblige đ Good for you. Your pride in your heritage isnât the issue. Quit dodging the question, youâre starting to look afraid of the answer. Youâre a grown man, act like one. Was slavery wrong in 1860? P Heck, If you can get some of the people on this site to say chattel race based slavery would be wrong in 2024, Iâd be impressed. I donât know why he wonât answer the question. Okay, thatâs wrong, I know why he wonât answer the question. We all do. Watch now, either he wonât respond at all or heâll deflect clumsily with another Bull Run (youâd think heâd at least spell it right) proud of my heritage statement. P Question for you I got one Letâs hear it. P Whatâs ur thoughts on the Portland debalicle with Black Lives Matter ???

The cops should have arrested all the ones they didnât shoot, and they should have shot most of them. The DA should have prosecuted the survivors for arson/rioting/vandalism/looting with every charge he could. No plea deals. They should have faced a judge nicknamed Maximum Bob who gave them every minute of time available in the sentencing guidelines, plus fines and court costs. They all serve time in prison, hopefully where theyâre Ä
ss-raped on a regular basis. They all get HIV and Hep C in prison. They get released (no parole) broken men, who get hit by a bus crossing the street outside the prison, and rendered quadriplegics. Thatâs what should have happened. P

It caused years of depression and even longer feelings of hatred in the southern states.
Reon Enter, the James Gang with Jesse at the helm. The conniving Missouri governor got more than he bargained for. The whole premise behind Outlaw, Jose Wales.

Excellent post! Growing up near Johnstown and Windber, I have often thought about southern slavery versus northern wage slavery. Pollocks, Hunkies, Dagos, and Micks were brought in by the thousands to man the mills, factories and mines in the north. These folks often had it tougher than the African Slaves. A slave was worth something, like any other possession it had to be maintained and cared for. But these wage slaves were only worth what they could produce. Their existence, and their families existence was totally dependent on their jobs. They lived in company owned shacks, most knew very little English. Their overseers were careful to keep them segregated, so they could not unite for better conditions. Most never saw a US mint made nickel. They were paid in script, worthless everywhere but the company store to buy food and pay rent. If they were hurt or killed, their families were homeless and penniless. This harsh practice was completely legal in northern states where abolitionist were shouting about the evils of human bondage! This was continued well after the 13th Amendment was passed. Even well into the 1920s and 30s! These folks were poor and hopeless. If they protested about it they were beaten, sometimes killed! During the war trouble makers were moved to the very top of the draft list. Reon Yes, but nobody is denying that history. I've never heard anybody respond, "revisionist history" when bringing up those events in history.

From what state was Patrick Cleburne? How many states were in the Confederacy? When did they each join? Why did they join?
Answer those questions and tell me which history is ârevisionistâ.
