I know folks who do this, usually buying auction guns in England or the antipodes and then importing them into the US. They work with dealers who are already in this business.

Have an illegal alien sneak it across the border.

Yep I know the 204 is available, but not imported.

As soon as I'm done paying off the latest Mc stock I'll be calling around.

Here's Beretta's pdf - 204 is in the Varmint model only, of course they are now making Sako 204's available.

Beretta should offer the Tikka SS Varmint with laminated wood stock...I'd have one of those for sure in 223...

I've asked a similar question in the past. Oddly enough, it was about the Sako 85 Bavarian which is also not imported. What I discovered was that finding someone who was willing to go through the added hassles was tough. (I'm talking about America - it may be easier in other countries.) Beretta did not want to import one or two rifles as it was not cost-effective for them. The local FFL I use just didn't want to deal with the head-aches involved. In the end, the added costs and wait didn't make it worthwhile for me. I got the impression that Beretta might have been more receptive if the quantity was larger - maybe 12 units minimum. I wonder if enough genuine interest was generated, someone could try and talk to them again?

I've heard that they will start importing 204 Ruger T3's this year or next... I'll hold off until Oct to see.
