That's a beauty, alright. Since you were calling it the pig gun, I was expecting it to have a hog engraved in the receiver. Since it doesn't, I'll bite: Why is it called the pig gun? Feel free to point me the archives. Mike
Does it come in Red and Black plaid? Is it wool?

Mike, its a custom 99 that LRF built to hunt with, the only 1/2 octagon takedown in existance, lynn sold it to jed, and i bought, traded with jed for it absolutely beautiful workmanship, but lynn being a perfectionist wasn't happy with it. Don

Don Geez, it looks great to me, from what I could see from the photos. You still didn't say why it's called the pig gun. Did LRF take some hogs with it? Trade it for some hogs? Inquiring minds want to know! Mike

Yes, I bought her down on 42nd street....
No, No , I'm sorry I built it to go on a pig hunt and I shot a pig with it. Actually after I shot the pig the gun was all used up....never use a gun, bow, knife twice. A animal deservers our best and your respect.

So Jed was cruising down the street, and saw the butt stock of a 99 sticking out of the recycling cart outside your house, and picked it up (along with that 60's zebra stripe couch you put out). How big was the hog you took with that rifle? Thanks, Mike

I don't know, I wasn't counting. It think there are pictures back in the archives somewhere.
Just so the record is straight, Jed asked a price, I told him, he sent the check. NO debate, he was a most honorable buyer.
I think Don pretty much drove over and bought it from Jed before it got too familiar with Jed's other 99's. You know those kind of relationships can be hard to break if you wait to long.
