I just put new Bosch Plug wires and Bosch Platinum plugs in my 1992 isuzu Rodeo 4x4, 3.1, 5 speed. And the end result was just awesome. The old plugs and wires were like the 4th of july when you'd open the hood at night, Poor acceleration, No power exe.
Just changing to a good brand of plugs and wires helped out big. Now i want to replace the stock Coil with something better. Whats a good coil out there for this engine?
Why am i changing it? 170K on the original so why not?
Also looking to scrap the POS air cleaner. I heard the stock GM aircleaners were restrictive so i'd like to get rid of this bulky thing to open up the engine bay and possibly get some better air flow into the motor.
It also has a emission crap mounts on the air cleaner and im just worried this will hold me back from updating the air cleaner system.
Wish i could take some pics to show you guys the stuff im talkin about thats mounted on it. Snowing like SOB right now.
So what do you guys think for a coil? I'd prefer to start with that and then work my way forward.
I dont want the MSD setup with all the extra wiring crap. Just a simple unplug mine, Plug in the new one and go.
