AARRRGGGGHHHHHH - the agony of defeat.

Flynn played a career-best game, OSU took some really stupid penalties and the LSU D came up with a couple of really timely plays. Pass the booze ---- damnit... frown

Congrats LSU. You deserved it.

This second best shiit is for the birds. Oh well, I guess I'll take consolation in the fact that this was a rebuilding year, we got into the NC game not because we were that great, but because we sucked the least. Nobody else deserved to be there more. Nobody can successfully argue that.

Once again, proves nothing other than tonight, LSU was the better team. Another WTF? performance. Just fantastic. Another long year of hearing how great the SEC is and how lowly the Big Ten is. I got news for you, the SEC didn't beat OSU, LSU did.

One thing's for sure, Tressel is a class act. OSU is lucky to have him. I did find it interesting in listening to some of the post game stuff......teams from the Soutnern US have won 8 of the last 10 national titles.

Don't take it personal 257 Roy. (If you're not too drunk to read this) my 257 Weatherby is almost my favorite rifle.

Well...

I hate I slept thru most of the second half...looks like I didn't miss much. Too bad Big 10 fans...yes the SEC will bank this. "SEC once again spots Big 10 larges lead, only to discover Big 10 actually serious."

No...
I'll watch the rest of the game...

Not bitchin, just making a statment about how dumb the BCS is. I can't think of anything that would not be better with a Playoff!

Gotta say, I'm a happy man tonight. Looked ugly early but LSU got back off the mat and proved they were the better team. Dorsey, Hester, Francois, and a whole bunch of other Tigers are studs. First team to get 2 crystal balls, 34 wins in 3 years, 3 SEC Championships in 7 years. These are definately the good old days of LSU football. Wish I wasn't a grown up with bills to pay or I'd be in the truck heading to New Orleans right now. Being a little to drunk to drive is getting in the way a little too. laugh Its a great night to be a Tiger fan.

LSU pulled many of its defensive starters after it was 31-10, so as many people as possible could say they got on the field in the championship. The score could have been much, much worse if Miles had wanted to really embarass the 'eyes.

BTW that has got to be the gayest mascot dude I've ever seen.

I wonder what it's like for one school (OSU) to lose 4 National Championship games to the same conference in 2 years?

SEC 7 - 2 ! Florida was asleep, other than that it was perfect. You can't count on Arkansas because Clinton came from there.

Steve,

It is like the neighborhood bully...(the SEC)...has come on the new kid on the block (the Big 10)...and the Big 10 lands a couple of early shots...followed by the SEC shutting them down ASAP!

Aint no joke....the ESPN crew is predicting that the best 2 in the country next season wont even include the LSU Tigers...but will include SEC greats UF and UGA.

the crowd was much more evenly split than I expected, probably 2/3 to 1/3. I have NEVER seen the Superdome empty out as fast as the O State section did at the end of the game. They quit selling booze in the third quarter, and I think those folks were in need of whiskey.

We had a nice bunch of Ohio guys sitting behind us, had some fun with them and it was interesting asking details about each other's teams, since we don't see them play much and vice versa. One of them got obnoxious as he got drunker and the game went from bad to worse for the Buckeyes, but the rest of them were pretty standup fans.

Took a bunch of pics I'll post tomorrow.
