Rumor has it that certain Amish communities are paying outsiders to impregnate their women to diversify the gene pool. Total BS. The Amish have some weird ideas but they are still solid Christians. That's totally against everything the Bible teaches. Their problem is that they will only marry within their community and it's a very small community. They marry too many cousins. But, they do marry them.

The Bible does talk about marrying close family but doesn't mention marriage to cousins. When the science of genetics came along, it enlightened a long standing issue of genetic diseases. Before, they weren't understood. What the Bible does say is that you can have sex ONLY with your spouse and that your spouse MUST be of the opposite sex. That eliminates hiring an outsider to impregnate your women to add to a gene pool. Back to the memes...............................
