I have a bad case of illegal migrant panhandler fatigue……… On my last trip to Austin I stopped at a big gas/convenience store just north of Round Rock. A thirtyish hispanic walked up with a smile. I made him stop 20 ft away and forcefully said loudly I don't have a thing for you. He maintained he was low on gas and then pointed to somewhere in the front parking lot. He wouldn't give up and finally I just yelled at him to get the hell away. Was right before either hosing him down with unleaded or 9mm. He left I had the feeling he'd make a fine car or insurance salesman. Couldn't figure out why he singled me out though. Because I look like the elderly old guy that I am, red ford pickup, or the Okie tags. If the latter, maybe I should have assured him that although my truck says Oklahoma that I'm a native born and raised Texan. I hate Panhandlers.
