Trying to find on the web if Winchester 70 wsm firing pin spring is the same as the short action only found long or short, is there new ones that you can buy or a size of them or maybe a aftermarket one , tubbs etc not my gun just a friend asked about getting a new one, I didn’t ask why, sometimes it just better that way 😐thanks

Check Wolff Springs website...they have a helluva broad inventory. But...
I had a Win 70 in 300 WSM come in quite a while back, failure to fire. So I checked the usual suspects, found nothing. I didn't have any loaded ammo, or dies, so I just reprimed some fired cases the guy sent along, and popped the primers...no malfunctions, good firm primer strike, .066 firing pin protrusion.
So I sent it back, he called me, said it was still mis firing. After a lot of back and forth, we decided it was the factory ammo. Might be worth looking into.

Ok thanks, found out that the short action spring is the same as the WSM ones but there are 2 different lengths Midwest guns has new oem ones for 10.00. I gave him the information & phone number thanks
