I was watching a YouTube and a rimfire rifle builder was testing some of his builds
He had a white paper with rows of small red diamonds and grid between them I shoot 1 in round red dots on a white paper But the diamonds would give a place to really center the shot
I have been searching the net and I don’t see these Does this ring a bell for anyone?

Looks like a good target, would , perhaps, make me little more interested in punching paper.

The right target lets you get the most from your optics. Even a low-x scope can make tiny groups with a target that “fits”, just as with iron sights. This place has the dot targets some were using a while back: http://mytargets.com/
What fresh Hell is this?

I made a handful of hand stamps (soft linoleum glued to wood and turned on a lathe), and armed with a big 30 pound roll of white paper and an ink pad I can make targets that work in my world. The 50 yard rimfire target is one inch diameter with 3/8" hollow white center easily quartered by the crosshairs in any of my target scopes. The 100 yard one is 2" with a 3/4" white center.
I've been known to use those 1/2" red paster dots that sprinkle the edges of those big "high viz" targets that are the rage, and can be found by the dozens in the trash cans of every range in the country. "One man's trash, yada yada...."

To a target obtained online I add space for date, distance, rifle and load data. On return from the range targets get 3 hole punched and placed in caliber specific 3 ring binders. That way I can see exactly the kind of groups a specific load delivers, greatly aids in the load development process.

Way back in Harvard Graphics days I assembled about 15 different targets. Like Pappy348 says, it's amazing how well a person can shoot if target dimensions facilitate a precise fit of one's sighting system. Never dreamed I could do 1 moa with irons, but a target that meshes well with the sights on my Sharps can make that happen. Below is what I use with my scoped rimfires. It likely will not print in its true dimensions if screen copied here due to web downsizing etc, but my originals print with 1-inch grids. It might be true to form if one downloads the jgp from Postimage.
