New York has established a reparations committee to look into paying off descendants of slaves. Nothing's been done yet but already blacks are fighting over who gets the money. Blacks not descended from slaves want their cut, based on their 'suffering from discrimination'. Pass the popcorn, please. REPARATIONSI have ancestors who were kidnapped from Ireland as boys and forced to be laborers on a trade ship going back and forth from the British Isles and the American colonies. They eventually escaped in Georgia, married, and had kids, but who is going to pay me back for the years they spent doing forced labor as slaves aboard a trade ship? If you compound the interest of what they were owed for their labor (and weren't paid), that's got to be a bundle of money coming to me.
