Yes local place has it in stock constantly. He will go with S+B and PPU as 35 dollars per box is great for stopping rifles.

I have a pretty good pile of Noslers courtesy of SPS for it, including some E-Tips, that have been around long enough to count as “free” bullets now.

If you ever feel the need to part with that FN... I've been on the lookout for a nice .270 to go with my .257 Roberts and .30-06.

Only one draw left for a tag this year and it's for Antelope in Cali. I have been putting in for it since '96 and with max bonus points I'm at a 33% chance of drawing. The gun is a Brown Precision in 30-06 on a FN action that my father in law bought a couple of months before I was born in '61.

Limbo, Congrats...that is really something. Chet Brown was a huge innovator, he invented, developed, and manufactured stuff for which he got no credit. A unique loaded round wobble indicator years before the big companies got in the game. I used to have one of his "little wiggler" runout tools. I'm pretty sure he was the very first to build synthetic stocks. I used to buy brand new Rem 700 takeoff bbls from him for 30 bucks at his Los Molinos shop. A highly ranked benchrest competitor too, so he could walk the walk as a gun builder.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Thanks Flint. That gun started out as an Imperial grade FN Mauser purchased in Palo Alto Ca. in March of '61 for $165. The Lyman 4x scope was another $54.50 and the Buehler mount was $22.85.

Somebody talked my father in law into punching it out to 300 Win mag and he must've got another bolt for it but it knocked him around a bunch being only 5'5" and 135# wet. Mark looked it up when I took it into Browns and said his dad rebarreled it in '79.

I had Mark do the full monty on it with a pounder with graphite and kevlar along with their coating. He also coated the Conetrols and I bought a set of 30mm rings as well.

This is how she looked when I got her.
