Got a Clackamas, OR 82 myself. Sweet shooting gun!
Wanted a second magazine and bought a Triple K. Bad mistake. Fit was horrible. Couldn’t get it to go but halfway in. Original Kimber mags are in the $200 range….unreal.

Kimber 82 mags are out there for considerably less than $200. The problem is there aren’t many of them so when they do come up, like in the RFC classifieds, for $60-75, you gotta jump on them.

I like them both.and find they shoot exceptionally well. This is results from a hasty series of 5 shot groups out of an early OR version at 50 uards with a 4x rimfire scope using UM22. #5 was shot by a brother...sorry Bill... Grid lines are 1/2" for reference.

Trust me, If I find one, when out and about, for a reasonable price, I'm going to buy it!! I was looking at some K22's as well. Those are some beautiful rifles too.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I've had both, each shot well with ammo it liked. My current, a K22. Overall If you're looking for a nicer rifle, I prefer the Oregon Super America over the Yonkers due to the overall fit and finish. In addition the Yonkers rifles don't look quite right to my eye as the cheek piece is not beaded. As you can see I don't mind rifles without a cheek piece and if I come across an Oregon Custom Classic with eye popping walnut I'll jump on it. That being said a Yonkers Custom Classic K22 is on my grail list. There is a lot of very knowledgeable collectors here; https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/kimber.19/And one for sale for interested parties. I've been tempted a few times to say the magic words on this; https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...th-anniversary-22lr.cfm?gun_id=102621226

Pretty sweet rifles.

I have had a couple Clackamas 82's and 1 NY .22. None shot or behaved to my satisfaction. They are long gone.
Kept a .22 Hornet from Clackamas.
I too like the old Winchester .22' s....have many . One of my favorite is a custom model 72. I have many 63's left , after selling several here. 69's 320- a bunch of pumpers, including Rem 121's.
Mauser Mm 410 B- 340? Mauser -long barreled single shot Walther's.
Several Steyr Zephyrs ....which nothing compares too.
Many more can't think of.
But I really like my Annies.

What a sweet piece of wood on that rifle. Pretty sure I wouldn't turn that one down if it showed up in a search...

I've had several Kimbers through the years, from Kimber of Oregon guns, to Kimber of America and Kimber of New York.
Lots of those have stayed with me while I sent multiple Coopers down the road.
My 82 Classic Varmint gets used in Silhouette from time to time while one of my K-22 SVT's gets used in lots of matches.
The New York gun's magazines are based on the Remington 513 series magazines, so if you want 10-round magazines, those Remington 10-rounders run great and are cheap too!
