Is anyone out there shooting 6mms Remington Ackley Improved? I'd be interested in any pet loads you've found. So far I've had success with Berger 95gr VLD's with H4831 & RL19. Just starting to play with 105gr Hornady ELD's and H1000. Thanks!

I shoot 95 grain Nosler BTs and 95 grain Barnes LRXs using H4350 with excellent accuracy and results on whitetail. I shoot Berger 105 Hybrids using H4831sc or Norma MRP/RL22 with good results. I get a little more than 3100 fps out of a 24" barrel with those combinations.
If you can't be a good example, may you at least serve as a dreadful warning

You should be right on the heels of the 240 Wby with some loads.

I have a .243 Rockchucker, which is sort of like. I like IMR 4350 and RL 19.

55 gr superformance, 80 gr bt @3650, only load I’ve ever shot. Rem 660 20” hart
Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

Reloader 22 and a 100 grain gameking or interlock is a great hunting combo. I fireformed with 48.5 grains and loaded 50 in the ack. Ran the 107 smk for a bit with h4831. The 100 grain load was my favorite. Imr 4350 is a good powder for that one too. Remy 6 700 and a 26 inch shilen 8 twist. The fire form load would go in a dime at 100 and the ack would hit right at 3/4.

Rather poor chambering and especially with the projectiles cited. Extra Credit Dumb Fhuqk Points awarded, for FF Agg's being better than Formed Loads. Hint. LAUGHING! Pass the Seex Kreed and .612 BC 112's at 3K from a 21" spout, mainly because I shoot it all and then some. Hint. Just sayin'................

About twenty years ago, I chambered two 6mm AI's, both single shots. At the same time, I built myself a 6mm Remington, based on a pre-64 action. All were eight inch twist barrels. They were thinking they would be able to push 198's to over 3200 fps. They did manage to achieve 3200, but that was it. My 6mm topped out at 3150 fps. I should mention, barrel life sucked! Interestingly enough, at the same time, I built a 6BR for myself, on another Winchester action. With the little 6BR, I was able to achieve 2990 fps (26 inch barrel) with the same bullet. It shot better too. If I was to build another 6mm today, I would likely go with a 6mm Creedmoor. I could match the 6BR at lower pressure, and should get better barrel life than the Remington. GD

I shoot 112's at 2820fps with single digit ES/SD in my 21" Dasher. I of course shoot several BR's too, along with many other .243" bores. Hint.
Bullets always matter wayyyyyy more than headstamps. Hint..............

7.5 twist for the Dasher? There is no question, those short, fat, cartridges perform out of proportion. Too bad it's not the same for people, eh? GD

I only have (1) Dasher and it's 1-7",on a K&P cut spout,for my Accuracy International AT-X. It Agg's in the low .3's. Hint. I have 6 BR's in 7",7.5" and 8" however. Hint.................

That 6 creed and dasher is bad azz no doubt. 6xc was the deal until 6 creed entered the room. 6x284 is a great do all. Had one on a model 70 with a 26 inch 8 twist shilen. Sucker would scream with 107s. Got a deal on 1000 moly'd matchkings. If I were to build anything 6, I like the dasher or xc. If Rem Arms would come out with a stainless 700 6 creed, I buy it in a heartbeat.

The 112 is 1.330". 105 Skinner 1.250". I've never seen or heard of a 108 MK,but the 107 SMK is 1.230". 108 ELD-M is 1.265". Hint.
I shoot XC too and it's an easy pass. Hint.
The 107 SMK has a schit .547" BC and is an easy pass. The .224" 88 ELD-M is a .545 BC and 3300fps is a breeze in Speedmire, which slaps the 6 AI silly. Pardon my simply shooting it all. Hint..................

I have shot the 6mm Rem AI for years .......also the 6X284................the 6X284 is hard to beat for velocity but barrel life SUCK's The longer neck on the 6mm AI and the slightly smaller case capacity ends up having much better barrel life on the barrel's That I have
To avoid disappoint and future regret......get at least a 1-8" twist barrel

If I'm going to exceed Seex Kreed case capacity,I'd just as soon go Seex Twat-Seex and cut to the fhuqking chase, though I only have a couple of them. Hint. Pass the Lapooey brass and hold The Fluff. Hint....................
