Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

This is my load. It even works well on elk: The 9.3 is one of my favorites... Good luck with yours..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Phil, I've been using CCI 200s with 66 grains of Big Game and Nosler Partitions. It's a great load, just a bit over 2400 in my 20.5 barrel. Does brown bears and lesser critters no good at all.

Somebody once said the 9.3x62 is like a big .308 Winchester: Just about anything shoots well.

I'll have to 2nd, 3rd? Re15, shooting both the Speer 270 gr and Norma 285 58 grains shot one 3 shot group into one hole, but mostly right around 1/2-5/8" 3 shot groups. A great caliber!!! Good luck and good shooting. Enjoy that 9.3x62! Terry

I'm looking forward to reloading for this cartridge. I bought two batches of Norma and Przvi Partisan factory ammo (100 of each) with 285/6 grain bullets. Each batch is so inconsistent with bullet seating depth that I look at them in wonder. They are the least consistent factory ammo I have ever encountered. My current plan is to pull them all and then reload them. But down the road I am excited about the variety of 250-grain bullets. And I was excited to read that the ever versatile 4064 seems to work well with it, since I have a lot of that on hand. I only plan on hunting thin-skinned game for the time being.

My load of choice was the 250 TSX and IMR4064 mrfudd, I recognize that this is a serious necropost, but you are still active around here. Do you mind sharing the load that you settled on for this combination?

Not fudd but,
recently shot some reloads of Barnes 250 gr. TSX with 55 gr. of IMR 4064 that grouped around an inch. 3.205 COAL
Still playing with that loading.

I use Mule Deer’s (Jon Barness) 250 grain Nosler Accubond at 2650 fps using RL-15 I believe. Shoots cloverleafs at 200 yards!

I was given 5 boxes of Nosler's 250 grain factory ammo by a fellow headed for assisted living. I took one of the boxes and ran 10 of the rounds past a MagnetoSpeed V3, and the other 10 rounds past a Garmin Xero. Both were within 4 fps of each other, and just shy of 200 fps slower than the nominal MV printed on the boxes. I think there are a few ammo manufacturers that should be required to print on their boxes of ammo "This MV is aspirational". I pulled the remaining 80 NABs for later handloads.
It's you and the bullet, and all the rest is secondary.

59.0 gr. of Hodgdon Varget/CCI-200/PPU brass for the 285-6 gr., as per Hodgdon.
~ 2350 fps, which is fine by me.
