Anyone ever use the Buffalo bore 458 win mag ammo? Is this the hotter then other 458wm makers?

It is not excessively "hot," it is good normal ammo satisfying SAAMI in the .458 WinMag.
That is based on Tim Sundles advertised 2250 fps for the 400-gr TSX.



He did that in his rifles with an 18" custom barrel and a 22" factory barrel.
My 25" Shilen would be intermediate in "speediness" to his two rifles, since I got 2350 fps from my longer barrel.

That was before the Hammer 404-gr SH.
ABE (Aria Ballistic Engineering) advertises some wicked ballistics with that one if you are not a handloader.
No reports on that yet. That stuff is probably "hot" like our .458 WM+ handloads.

So then a 458 makes a good deer rifle. I’ve been looking for a 458, just cause. Now I see a need.

The last couple I killed with my 375 h&h weren't dead enough!

Winchester makes a M70 I see and its available. Bet I can get one and scoped in time for deer season!
