Never had ramps, but my ex said when she was in school, boys would eat a bunch so they'd get sent home due to the stink.

My mother worked as a supervisor in a telephone switchboard, the old long cordboard type. One of her operators came back to work after a wild ramp-filled weekend in WV and she had to put her all the way down at the far end away from the other ladies.

Looks good. My dad loves ramps and will eat them plain by the hand full. I like them cut up fine and used sparingly in potato salad.

Wife's uncle pickled some ramps/leeks in simple salt/vinegar/water brine, but added a teaspoon per pint of fresh horseradish. Tasted spectacular, was absolute torture on the nose of everyone around me for the next 24+ hours..... I "may" have had 6-10 beers that day too

I can't wait till the Ramps come up on the farm where we are living at. There is a good patch of them in back of the house in the woods.
