Woodson has cajoled me in regards to Chisan knives.

Although I'm no longer a player and do not buy a bunch of knives these days, I'm bound to see if he would fashion one for me.

Good stuff guy!

Yeah, so do I ,it really grips well.
AEB-1 steel so it holds a decent edge but sharpens up with no issues at all!

GW;
Good evening my friend, I hope the day down south behaved and you and your family are well.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful collection with us, much appreciated as always.

With apologies to you and those who've seen this pair before, this is my contribution to your horn handled knives thread.

These were my take on a pair of blades I ground out of Simonds D2 planer blades from the sawmill that used to be a stone's throw from our place.

The scales are California Bighorn ewe pickups that a long passed on friend gave to me and the sheath was something I made up in the shop as well.

There was a fellow somewhere in Alberta who was using a disc sander to get that different looking grind line, so that's what I was trying to copy, but found it tough to keep it as clean looking as I'd wanted.

Anyways sir, that's the two with horns from my collection.

All the very best to you all sir.

Dwayne

Big fan of the look of buffalo horn but avoid due to cracking/warping potential

Those look great though!
