I'm pondering a 12 gauge home defense shot gun and found a store selling the benelli nova tactical ghost ring pumps for $299 on clearance. Apparantly they don't sell well compared to more traditional looking pumps.
Any operational issues that I should be aware?
Duty will be limited to security duty and range plinking.

I have a Super Nova Tactical with the ghost ring sight. They are good guns. It's the most accurate gun I have for shooting rifle slugs. It will hold a coverleaf group at 50 yards shooting Remington Sluggers. Mine has been utterley reliable. Mine came with a pistol grip stock, but I switched it out for a more traditional comfort tech stock, then added a 2 shot Nordic extension to the magazine. The stock on the Nova is what it is, since its integral with the receiver, but its still a comfortable stock. Oner last thing. If you aren't familiar with shooting rotating bolt pump shotguns, be aware that the action will partially open when you fire. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/x0uJBwr.jpg)

The nova I am looking at is a full molded stock.

Yes, very much like the Winchester speed pumps. $299 is an excellent price for the Nova.

Yes, very much like the Winchester speed pumps. $299 is an excellent price for the Nova. I think they sell for $450 normally so I think I can buy it and not loose too much money if I don't care for it.
