I can see the 5.7 in a church/crowd setting with 27 grain bullets penetration would be limited and still effective. The guy I sold the rest of my ammo too, related he stepped into a field of high grass and found himself surrounded by feral pigs, he drew his 5.7 and shot at the closest too him 7 times and it ran off with the rest of the pigs. He followed the blood but it ran out. This of coarse is hear say and I was puzzled as to why he told that while buying more of the same ammo.

I have to say that gunfighting in church is a firearms niche that hasn’t occurred to me…….

Pappy, I pray that I never have to use my pistol for defense anywhere (especially church). But in the world we now live in armed church security is a must.

Yeah, I know. Been quite a while since I’ve been in either. If I ever get back in church, I’ll pack for certain. It just struck me as a little funny, thinking about some marketing campaign directed at selling “Church Pistols”, though the need ain’t a bit funny.
