The lines of this one are very similar to a Dozier design I used to admire. Great looking knife!

Good belly for slicing and a sharp tip for pinpoint work. Lots to like!

It's a Professional Guides Knife with black micarta, all I could afford as a single parent at the time. I carried it for many years and the belt loop of the kydex sheath broke and I put it away. I dug it out last night for my son and I to look at to see if we can repair it someway for regular use.

Thank you for the kind words gentlemen.

Send the knife and sheath to the shop - they will make you a new sheath.

Yes, for a fee. My son and I were able to fashion a new belt loop out of leather yesterday and secured it to the sheath using steel pop-rivets in the holes on the sheath. If I find the right piece of nylon webbing, I might replace it with that. It will then look like their "Wilderness" sheath they want $75 for.

They replaced my kydex sheath gratis when the belt loop snapped, user error.

It would be interesting to see how many guys here started with a Dozier as their gateway drug to higher end knives. Bob really deserves a lot of credit for showing what things like good design, good heat treat and thin grinds do to elevate knife performance. Surely a hall of fame level legend.

This is 100% me. And a David Winston was next. And to be honest one needs go no further but once the hook is set…

Not to derail the thread…

Ive got my share of Winstons.

Got to meet David several years back.

He made a knife for me, and made the trip to Starkville, ms to pick it up.

Gave to me grand tour of his shop. Welcomed all my questions.

He’s a hoot.

Gave me a few hours of his time he could have been making knives.

Told the story pf how he and Gene and Ken Honeycutt all got together.

I left with 2 knives that day.

Several since then.
