I just ordered a matt version. I don't "need" it but couldn't pass up that deal. Thanks for the heads up VA!

I couldn't make up my mind between a 4x and a 6x, so I ordered one of each. I've seen these scopes in action enough to know that this is a great deal for the money........if I get them! crazy

No kidding...

The .22 mag may not know what to think when I put that on it...

I ordered mine last night, at about 12:30am when I read this post ... my first thought was that I didn't 'need' it, but how could I pass it up? Then, of course, I had the same thought as you ... which is, toss it on the 10/22 ...

I used to have a Nikon Monarch 3.3-10x44 with the AO, mildot reticle and low-pro capped turrets ... it was a LOT of scope for the money. I sold it because I was very poor at the time, and wanted/needed a different scope... I kinda wish I still had it ...

anyway, regardless of other factors, the glass was great, construction and quality seemed to be all there ... adjustments were very true ... even the dreaded 'crappy' eye relief of all other scopes than "Big L" was plenty good.

I'm thinking that this 6x42 for the 10/22 will be a good way for me to break into the fixed power scope thing, and to once again test the quality of the Nikon optics ...

Thanks for the heads-up. Ordered one in matte...not sure yet what I'll put under it, but always nice to have another quality scope around.

I have one on my Kimber 308, it's a nice scope, I sure wish I could buy a couple for that price but no shipping to Canada.

If it would help you, I can buy a couple and send them to you. You'd have to pay shipping/insurance twice, but I'd be happy to get them and send them to you. I have a PayPal account that you could pay into and then I could order them. I ordered 3 earlier today and they charged me $12.00 for shipping, so it would probably cost another $12 to $15 to get them from Omaha to where you are in Canada.

FWIW I sent a scope to a guy in Canada who bought it off me out of the classifieds. The shipping was not all that bad, maybe 20-25, but when it got up to him, he had to pay about $40 or $50 in duty on it. I checked the "gift" box as he had requested, but they still stung him for some taxes.
