be ware of tents that say factory seam sealed and water prof on the box a few years back my wife and i bought a new tent for a camping trip to unicoi state part so we got to the camp site set up camp first i put up the kids tent that we used for many years i had sealed it my self with seam sealer and camp dry but it was a sunny day and my wife wanted to see helen geogia thats a little german town about 3 mile from unicoi state park and the main reason for the trip we were leaving one of the shops just about dark and we were not realy thinking about the weather when it hit some of the heaviest rain i had ever seen we got back to the car drove to the camp site put the kids in there tent nice and dry no leaks then we got our air matress inflated opened the adults tent and droped it into 8 inch deep water and it was still pouring in through the roof and every seam so we packed up in a hurry and went back to dalton returned the bad tent and it ruined our first camping trip to unicoi the tent was a cabin tipe tent by ozark trail ps the rain flaps were zipped down but it was not slowing the rain down .make sure you seal your tent because you half to depend on it. if you by it and dont seal it you could end up all wet.

Always take a poly tarp,no matter the type of tent or how much it is advertised to shed water. Might not look cool, but dry is better than cool
If God wanted you to walk and carry things on your back, He would not have invented stirrups and pack saddles
