I own a Matthews Conquest 2 that is in mint condition has been
taken excellent care of. Field points & broadheads fly identical
just put on matthews newest removeable quiver all extras are
mint as well as high quality. I am 6-2 with 32 inch draw and
have no issues with the Conquest other than weight is a little
heavy and the newer bows break a little smoother at let off.
I have become very interested in the new Drenalin LD it's
little lighter and is smoother at the let off. Would I be
bettering my self on a trade in or would any gains be so
minimal that I am wasting time and money. any opinions &
knowledge would be appreaciated. I have a couple of questions
is the Denalin LD as forgiving is the let off significantly
noticeble Iam good friends with the manager and will do ok
on the trade in I just wonder if the pluses I gain jusify
making the move this is the first bow itch I have had in a
while and don't want to make a move I regret.

I set up a Matthews for a friend Saturday. I would shoot the Conquest. Measure the ATA and make sure it stays where it's supposed to. Also, at full draw, look at your idle wheel and make sure the string's coming back straight and isn't peeling off the cam at an angle. Make sure this is set and doesn't change. If it does, You will need a new string and cables from a reliable maker like Crackers or Winners Choice. When you know in your heart of hearts that you want a new bow, try the Bowtechs. I was the first in my club to buy one three years ago (an Allegiance) and now there are eight of us. We all shoot together, and are even in touch with Bowtech. They make a superior bow and they are fast and consistent. I had a Switchback before I went to Bowtech. I'd never buy another Matthews bow.

If you don't want to regret it, buy the Drenalin and keep the Conquest for back up.
